As of January 1, 2025 Kentucky allows for qualifying patients to apply for a medical cannabis card to legally obtain and use medical cannabis. Individuals eligible for these cards must obtain written certifications from licensed physicians confirming that they are living with one or more of the medical conditions approved for medical cannabis use in the state.
You can get your medical cannabis card easily by starting with scheduling an appointment with our practice. Call or book today to learn more.
Schedule an appointment with our licensed healthcare physicians for an in-person medical evaluation.
A bona fide patient-practitioner relationship must exist prior to certification
Our licensed medical marijuana physicians will review your medical history and educate you on your eligibility and the risks versus benefits of using cannabis for your specific medical condition.
After being deemed eligible, the practitioner will issue a written certification on a form prescribed by the Office of Medical Cannabis of the Kentucky Cabinet for Health and Family Services.
Once the patient obtains a written certification for medical cannabis, they can apply online for a Kentucky medical cannabis card on the Patient and Caregiver Registration Portal.
The Cabinet for Health and Family Services will approve successful applicants and grant their medical cannabis cards within 5 to 30 days.
